The client wants to grow its business in the Americas outside of the USA. In order to manage and perform such activities - initially focusing on Brazil and Mexico - client will establish an office in Houston.

The client is looking for a business-oriented lawyer to work in the Houston office in close cooperation with the  Legal Department in Europe.

The position
The areas of responsibility will be of legal as well as business-oriented nature e.g. preparing agreements and contracts, negotiating with public authorities, suppliers and business partners, and providing legal advice in general. You will be working in a busy, dynamic and international environment with a variety of tasks primarily focusing on clients Oil business in the Americas. Some travelling should be expected. You will be offered continuous relevant training.

Qualifications
You have a solid theoretical background. Prior experience from the oil industry is an advantage but not a prerequisite, but we expect you to have in excess of 3-5 years legal experience from an international business environment.

An excellent command of written and spoken English is a requirement.

The Candidate
You must be able to work systematically and take a broad view. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
